Turn Skating Into a Shared Experience
Taken at Nanjing Xingcui Ice Rink on June 9, 2026, this photo shows our Dolphin Ice Skating Aid in everyday use during a public skating session.
Most traditional ice skating aids are designed for one person: hold the handles, maintain balance and move forward.
The Dolphin Ice Skating Aid changes that experience.
One person can sit on the dolphin while another pushes from behind. A parent can push a child, two friends can take turns, or couples can simply enjoy the ice together. The rider can lift their feet and relax or use their feet to assist while moving.
This simple difference turns a functional skating aid into something much more valuable for a commercial ice rink: an experience people can share.
For operators, that means the product can serve beginners while also appealing to families, friends and adult visitors who may not normally rent a standard skating aid.
More Than Basic Rental Equipment
This photo was taken at the ice rink in the ground-floor atrium of Longfor Paradise Walk in Nanchang, Jiangxi, on June 18, 2023, showing our Dolphin Ice Skating Aid in regular public use.
Customer operation photo from Ulsan Honey-Fun Ice Rink in South Korea, showing a QIQU penguin skating aid used by a young beginner at a public family ice rink.
A standard skating aid solves one problem: helping a beginner feel more stable on the ice.
A ride-on skating aid creates another layer of value.
It can be used for balance support, seated riding, parent-child interaction and casual ice entertainment. This gives operators more ways to position the same piece of equipment within a rental program.
Many commercial ice rinks already charge separately for skating aids by session. Ride-on models can support a higher-value rental tier because visitors are paying for more than assistance—they are paying for a shared experience.
The exact rental price should always reflect your local market, admission structure and customer profile, but the commercial principle is simple:
Different experiences give operators more pricing options.
One Dolphin, Different Ways to Enjoy the Ice
Taken at Beijing Ice Cube during regular public skating sessions, these photos show our Dolphin Ice Skating Aids being used by different visitors in real rink conditions.
Visitor photo from FROST on Ice at FROST Magical Ice of Siam in Pattaya, Thailand, showing a QIQU dolphin skating aid used by a child in a real indoor ice attraction.
The most revealing thing about this product is how differently visitors use it.
Parents push children.
Children sometimes push their parents.
Friends take turns riding.
Young adults use it simply because it is fun.
Beginners use it for confidence, while experienced skaters use it as part of a social activity.
That flexibility is why the Dolphin Ice Skating Aid has become one of the most established models in our skating-aid range.
For an operator, broader usage means the equipment is not restricted to one narrow customer group. It can serve family sessions, beginner sessions, holiday programs and general public skating.
Built for Commercial Ice Rink Conditions

An ice rink is a demanding environment for plastic equipment.
Cold temperatures, repeated impacts, wet surfaces, daily cleaning and seasonal storage all place stress on the material over time.
That is why the body is manufactured from modified commercial-grade polyethylene using rotational molding rather than ordinary low-cost plastic construction.
Our PE formulation is developed with enhanced impact resistance, UV stabilization and cold-weather performance, with the material designed for environments down to -40°C (-40°F).
The body is approximately 8 mm thick and formed as a durable one-piece hollow structure.
There is also an important difference that is difficult to see in a specification sheet: not all polyethylene is the same.
Low-cost recycled PE is commonly hidden behind dark colors because recycled material can produce a dull or inconsistent appearance. We use material suitable for producing clean, bright colors while maintaining the mechanical performance required for commercial use.
For an ice rink operator, the real benefit is not the material name.
It is fewer cracked bodies, better appearance after repeated use and less equipment being taken out of service.
Designed Around Real Commercial Use

A product used by hundreds of visitors cannot have sharp edges, exposed rough molding lines or awkward handling points.
The Dolphin Ice Skating Aid uses a smooth, rounded body designed around frequent public use.
The low-center-of-gravity geometry and wide contact structure help maintain stability whether the product is being pushed or ridden.
There are no motors, batteries, controllers or electrical systems to maintain.
For normal commercial operation, daily work is straightforward:
clean the surface, disinfect high-contact areas and return the units for the next skating session.
At only about 7 kg (15.4 lb) per unit, staff can also move, collect and store the equipment without heavy lifting equipment.
This simplicity matters in commercial ice rinks, where equipment may need to be distributed and collected several times every day.
Made to Be Photographed, Not Just Rented
A good commercial attraction earns money while visitors use it.
A memorable one continues creating value after they leave.
Real visitor posts show that people do not treat the Dolphin Ice Skating Aid only as equipment. Families, friends and young adults stop to take photos, record videos and share the experience online.
The dolphin shape, seated riding position and two-person interaction naturally create moments worth photographing.
For an ice rink, this matters.
Every genuine visitor photo shared on Instagram, TikTok, Xiaohongshu or other social platforms can introduce the venue to another potential customer without the rink having to manufacture the moment itself.
The equipment becomes part of the venue's visual identity—not simply something stored beside the entrance.
Build a Better Ice Skating Aid Mix
Not every visitor needs the same skating aid.
For first-time skaters who want to move independently, our standing skating aid series includes Dinosaur, Snowman and Penguin designs.
For operators who want to add seated riding and two-person interaction, the Dolphin provides a different experience.
We do not recommend choosing one model simply because it is cheaper or more popular.
The better question is:
Who visits your rink, and what experience do you want to offer them?
A balanced rental fleet can include standing aids for individual beginners and ride-on Dolphins for families and social users.
This gives visitors a choice while allowing the operator to serve more than one type of demand from the same ice rink.

Ready for Your Next Ice Season
QIQU dolphin and dinosaur skating aids appeared in an indoor ice-skating event at UC San Diego's Price Center West Ballroom during the 2025 Triton Fest Winter Series in San Diego, California.
QIQU supports commercial ice rinks, distributors and project buyers with factory-direct production and OEM customization.
Available options include custom colors, logo branding and project-specific manufacturing requirements. For larger OEM projects, we can also support mold development and exclusive character designs.
From material selection and mold production to rotomolding and final inspection, the goal is straightforward:
build equipment that is easy to operate, difficult to wear out and worth putting back on the ice season after season.
If you are planning a new ice rink, replacing an aging skating-aid fleet or expanding your family rental program, tell us your rink type, expected visitor profile and required quantity.
We can help you decide whether a standing skating aid, Ride-on Dolphin, or a mixed fleet makes more commercial sense for your project.
Because the best skating memories are rarely made alone.
